Hand-made container for storage of the scented sachets
 
The container is hand-made by the traditional potter Raja Atalla. 
 
The family is Christian From Lebanon. They left Lebanon in 1860  following conflicts between groups in the area they lived and settled in Haifa which was then a town where there were local communities that were not in conflict.
 
The pottery profession has been passed down from generation to generation in the family since Lebanon.
